The Opportunity
Are you a true hunter who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities and winning new business?
We're recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious UK manufacturer that is investing heavily in its future growth. This is a newly created role within a dedicated Growth Team and presents an exciting opportunity for an energetic Business Development Executive to play a key role in expanding market share and identifying new revenue opportunities.
This is not an account management position. We're looking for someone who enjoys researching prospects, making outbound calls, securing meetings and building a high-quality pipeline of opportunities for the wider commercial team.
You'll be engaging with senior decision-makers across multiple sectors, identifying organisations with upcoming projects, and creating opportunities through a mixture of market intelligence, buyer intent data, CRM tools and proactive outreach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
