Business Development Executive (SaaS) Manchester Route to BDM in 12 months
Tech sales with a proven route to BDM!
I'm recruiting for a well established, well backed SaaS business in Manchester that promotes from within on results. I placed someone into this exact role who is now a BDM on a six figure package. People in the team have moved up within 12 months, and it's happening on the sales floor right now, not just a line on a job spec.
The Role
- You'll be speaking with senior decision makers across UK businesses and booking appointments for the BDMs.
- You're opening doors rather than closing cold, and it's a considered, quality over quantity role.
- Fully outbound, multichannel new business across calls, email and LinkedIn.
- No dialler, you research your accounts and choose who to approach and why.
- High quality data and strong marketing support behind you.
- Full sales training from day one, no need for any prior experience of structured sales methodologies, though some is desireable!
- A clear route into BDM, with eligibility to apply for promotion after around 12 months.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
