The Opportunity:
Are you confident starting conversations, curious about how organisations operate, and ready to build a successful career in business development?
We are supporting an established organisation that is investing in its commercial team and creating a dedicated Business Development Executive position. This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of new business activity while receiving hands-on coaching and support from experienced colleagues.
You will join a collaborative team where your ideas will be welcomed, your development will be taken seriously, and your work will contribute directly to future growth.
Role Profile:
Your focus will be on identifying prospective organisations, opening meaningful conversations and developing qualified opportunities.
This is not simply a high-volume calling role. You will use telephone, email and LinkedIn outreach alongside thoughtful discovery conversations to understand each prospect’s priorities and establish where there may be a strong commercial fit.

You will have the support to develop your consultative sales skills, strengthen your commercial confidence and progress within an evolving team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective organisations through targeted outbound activity
- Create tailored outreach campaigns across telephone, email and LinkedIn
- Build credible relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Lead discovery conversations to understand commercial challenges and objectives
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Work with senior colleagues to progress opportunities through the sales process
- Support wider growth campaigns and commercial initiatives
- Share market feedback and ideas to improve future sales activity
Person Specification:
We would like to hear from candidates with experience in business development, recruitment, lead generation, customer acquisition or outbound sales.
