Business Development Executive – B2B Sales

£28,000–£37,000 basic, depending on experience

Lincoln | Office based

The opportunity

HeathBrook is looking for a Business Development Executive to help us develop new relationships with some of the UK's leading organisations.

We provide workwear, uniform, PPE and technology-led managed solutions to major businesses, with a particularly strong presence in aviation and other complex working environments.

This isn't a high-volume, scripted telesales role. You'll work with a defined group of target organisations, researching their businesses, identifying the right decision-makers and influencers, and finding the right way to start credible conversations with them. Your objective is simple: create high-quality new business opportunities and meetings for our sales team.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking responsibility for the early stages of our new-business development process
  • Researching target organisations and identifying decision-makers and influencers
  • Proactively approaching prospects by telephone, LinkedIn, email and other appropriate channels
  • Confidently engaging people at all levels, including senior decision-makers
  • Understanding enough about each prospect to make your approach relevant
  • Identifying and qualifying potential opportunities
  • Securing high-quality meetings for our sales team
  • Following up consistently and professionally
  • Managing prospects and activity accurately in HubSpot
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing to develop target accounts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Activity matters, but we're looking for quality, relevance and genuine engagement – not simply call volume.

Who we're looking for

We're deliberately keeping an open mind about experience. You may already have experience in B2B sales, business development, sales development or prospecting. If you're experienced and confident approaching senior decision-makers, we'd particularly like to hear from you.

However, direct business-development experience isn't essential. We're equally interested in someone with the right attributes and potential to develop.

What's important is that you:

  • Are confident picking up the phone and starting conversations
  • Are comfortable approaching senior decision-makers and influencers
  • Communicate professionally and naturally rather than relying on a script
  • Are curious about businesses and how they operate
  • Can research an organisation and work out who you should be speaking to
  • Are persistent and resilient without being pushy
  • Are organised and comfortable working systematically through target accounts
  • Want to develop your career in professional B2B sales

Experience within aviation, workwear, PPE or our other target sectors could be useful, but isn't essential.

Location & travel

This is an office-based role at our Lincoln office. Hybrid working isn't a standard part of the offer, although some flexibility may be possible in limited circumstances.

You'll also need to be willing and able to travel within the UK when required. Travel isn't expected to be extensive or particularly regular initially, but there will be opportunities to meet prospects, attend events and support customer meetings.

What we offer

  • £28,000–£37,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • The opportunity to work with major UK and international organisations
  • Support and development from an experienced sales team
  • A structured target-account approach rather than indiscriminate cold calling
  • The opportunity to develop your B2B sales career as your experience grows

If you enjoy the challenge of finding the right person, starting a conversation and turning a cold prospect into a genuine business opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
