Business Development Executive

Location: Hull

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 + Uncapped Commission

Consortium Professional Recruitment are working exclusively with our client to recruit a Business Development Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established international business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service across a range of specialist sectors.

As a Business Development Executive, you'll play an important role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing lasting customer relationships and supporting existing accounts. If you're a motivated sales professional who enjoys building connections, opening doors and making a real commercial impact, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and growing business.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Executive, you'll play a key role in:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Building strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Managing your own sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to successful order completion.
  • Preparing quotations, proposals and commercial agreements while maintaining profitable business opportunities.
  • Arranging and attending customer meetings and site visits to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure customers receive an outstanding service from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity using internal systems.

About You

We're looking for someone who can bring:

  • Previous experience within a business development, sales or account management role.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to generating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
  • Experience within print, ticketing or a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but isn't essential, as full product training will be provided.
  • A positive attitude, commercial awareness and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
