Business Development Executive – Digital Engineering & Technology
About the role
PalniES is an international Digital Engineering and technology business supporting organisations across the UK, Europe, and North America. This role will focus primarily on the UK market, with some outreach across Europe.
We're looking for two confident, commercially minded people to join our UK business development team on an initial three-month, part-time independent contractor basis.
Working directly with our Head of Business Development UK & Europe, you'll speak with senior decision-makers at organisations across the Digital Engineering, BIM, Survey & Reality Capture, and infrastructure sectors, starting conversations and generating qualified business meetings.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to gain real B2B technology sales experience and develop skills that are highly transferable into future sales, business development, and commercial roles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
