About us
Focus Media is one of China's largest building media networks. It places digital advertising screens in the lifts and lobbies of residential, office and hospitality buildings. Focus Media UK is bringing this model to London. We are building our screen network and the team behind it from the ground up.
The role
You will bring hotels, gyms and service venues across London onto our screen network. You'll find the right venues, win over their managers and head offices, and sign placement agreements. The job is outbound and face-to-face, and much of your week is spent visiting venues, not sitting at a desk.
What you'll do
- Build and work a target list of hotels, serviced apartments, gyms, and leisure and service venues in London.
- Reach decision-makers (general managers, operations directors, and head offices of hotel and gym groups) by phone, email, LinkedIn and walk-ins.
- Run venue visits. Show how screens benefit guests and members and add value for the venue.
- Negotiate placement terms and take each deal through to a signed agreement, supported by your manager.
- Hand signed venues over to our Installation team, and stay their main contact until the screens are live.
- Keep the CRM up to date: activity, pipeline stage and next steps.
- Hit weekly activity targets and monthly targets for signed venues.

What we're looking for
- 1–3 years in B2B sales or business development, ideally selling into gyms or hospitality. Graduates with strong outbound experience are welcome.
- Comfortable cold-calling, walking into venues and meeting new people, and able to handle rejection.
- An understanding of how pubs and gyms run, and who makes decisions there.
- Clear, confident spoken and written English.
- Organised and self-driven, with a steady weekly routine.
- Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
