Business Development Executive
Salary: up to £32,000 per annum plus car, commission scheme, and enhanced pension
Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri
Location: Mobile across the North West

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth for Veolia’s Industrial Site Services across a designated geographic territory. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for sourcing, visiting, and managing industrial clients to assess their site needs for both routine and one-off industrial cleaning and site service solutions. You will own your sales pipeline from lead generation through to technical solution delivery, collaborating closely with internal technical and operational colleagues to build competitive, high-quality quotes.

What you'll be doing
- Territory & Pipeline Management: Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your assigned geographic region to maintain a robust, self-generated sales pipeline.
- On-Site Consultations & Assessments: Conduct regular client visits across industrial facilities to assess complex operational needs, site hazards, and service requirements.
- Solution Scope & Estimating: Partner with internal technical teams, site operators, and estimation specialists to scope out requirements and construct accurate proposals for specialised one-off projects or ongoing service contracts.
- Client Relationship Management: Build long-term, trusted relationships with plant managers, EH&S leads, and procurement teams across target industrial sectors.
- Commercial Closing: Deliver compelling sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close opportunities in line with revenue and margin targets.
What we're looking for
- Proven B2B Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in field-based B2B sales, ideally within industrial cleaning, environmental services, waste management, facilities management, or heavy industry services.
- Self-Motivation & Drive: Strong self-starter capable of working autonomously to manage time, plan site visit schedules, and drive pipeline growth across a region.
- Commercial & Technical Aptitude: Ability to translate complex operational site challenges into practical, commercial service scopes.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal operational teams, health & safety experts, and colleagues to construct winning quotes.
- Mobility: Full driving license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned geographic territory.
