Ohme: Business Development Executive

Ohme is on a mission to accelerate the global transition to clean, affordable energy. We do that by serving as an integrated hardware and software smart-grid platform, focused on the residential EV charging market.

The worlds of energy, transport and artificial intelligence are colliding and Ohme is at the heart of this new era. By using technology and data integrations to connect cars, chargers, people, energy providers and more, Ohme has a powerful platform that puts the consumer at the core.

Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of VW, Mercedes, Octopus Energy, and other innovative brands.

We are scaling up the business and are building out the team for rapid growth. If you’re interested joining a fast-growing cleantech venture on a data and AI-first journey to speed up the global transition to clean, affordable energy, read on!

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our Sales Team, supporting the growth and development of Ohme’s Approved Installer Network across the UK.

This is a hybrid role, combining time in the office, working from home, and engaging with installation partners across the country. You’ll play a key role in supporting existing installer relationships, identifying new installer opportunities, and helping to ensure our installer community remains engaged, successful, and aligned with Ohme’s growth ambitions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop hands-on experience in business development, account management, partner engagement, and sales support while being part of a fast-growing business at the forefront of the EV charging industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop relationships with Ohme’s Approved Installer Network, ensuring partners receive a high level of engagement, support, and ongoing communication.
  • Identify and onboard new installation businesses into the Ohme Approved Installer Programme, helping to expand our national installer coverage and capability.
  • Conduct targeted outbound outreach to prospective installation partners, identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the continued growth of Ohme’s installer community.
  • Manage the distribution of customer installation leads, ensuring opportunities are shared effectively and fairly across approved installer partners.
  • Qualify inbound customer enquiries to ensure installers receive high-quality opportunities and a streamlined route to successful installations.
  • Maintain and update installer records within our CRM and lead management systems, ensuring all partner information, activity, and engagement is accurately recorded.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of Ohme Connect and other partner-facing systems to improve installer experience and lead management processes.
  • Work closely with the wholesale sales team to identify new installer opportunities, build relationships, and support joint growth initiatives with wholesale partners.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of installer promotions, partner campaigns, trade events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Help organise and deliver installer training sessions, product demonstrations, and educational workshops to support partner development and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver communications, updates, and campaigns across the installer network, ensuring partners remain informed and engaged.
  • Manage the sales inbox and inbound sales line, ensuring installer and customer enquiries are responded to professionally and efficiently.
  • Drive the adoption of AI-powered tools and solutions, identifying opportunities to automate processes, enhance the installer experience, drive sales and improve operational efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
