BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE – INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

Cardiff City Centre – 100% Onsite
£35,000–£40,000 + Uncapped Commission
International Markets | New Business | SaaS / Tech / Platform Sales

Can you build a market from ZERO?
Not inherit a warm pipeline.
Not manage an existing book of accounts.
Not wait for inbound leads.

Actually identify a market, find the opportunity, open the doors and win the business.
If that's the kind of salesperson you are, I want to speak to you.
I'm recruiting for an award-winning, rapidly growing technology business that's expanding its international footprint across the globe.
They are looking for a true new-business hunter to identify and win new franchise partners and commercial relationships in markets where the business currently has little or no presence.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll take ownership of international markets and build opportunities from the ground up.
That means:

  • Identifying new markets, target companies and commercial opportunities
  • Building your own prospect lists and account strategy
  • High-volume outbound prospecting – phone, email, LinkedIn and online meetings
  • Opening conversations with businesses that don't already know you
  • Understanding their commercial challenges and selling a technology/platform solution
  • Managing the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement
  • Negotiating and closing new franchise and commercial partnerships
  • Building and managing a strong outbound pipeline
  • Representing the business at international trade shows and events

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Most of your selling will be conducted online and over the phone, but there will also be opportunities for international travel.

WHO WILL GET THEIR ATTENTION?

I'm looking for evidence on your CV that you can create business rather than simply manage it.
I'd particularly like to see:

  • Genuine outbound new-business success – with numbers to prove it
  • Experience building a sales pipeline or territory from scratch
  • Strong prospecting skills – you know how to identify your ICP, prioritise accounts and create opportunities
  • Experience selling SaaS, technology, platforms, marketplaces, partnerships or another solution-led proposition
  • International sales exposure – selling into overseas markets, attending international trade shows or working internationally
  • Evidence that you've beaten targets, generated significant outbound pipeline or accelerated your ramp-up in previous roles

And just as importantly, your attitude matters.
You'll be someone who takes accountability, owns problems and finds solutions.
You're proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do.
You're coachable, respond positively to feedback and don't become defensive when challenged.
And when something isn't working, your instinct is:
“What can I do differently to make this work?”

IMPORTANT – THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE

This position is 100% onsite in Cardiff City Centre – it is not hybrid or remote.
You'll be joining an energetic, collaborative sales environment where the team works together in person.
Because you're selling internationally, you'll also need some flexibility around working hours. There may occasionally be earlier starts or later finishes to speak with prospects in different global time zones.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?

  • £35,000–£40,000 basic + uncapped commission
  • Genuine international exposure
  • Opportunities to attend major global trade shows
  • The chance to build new markets from scratch
  • A business experiencing significant international growth
  • Investment in your development
  • Company pension
  • An award-winning technology business with ambitious plans

One final question…
If I gave you a country where the business currently had zero customers, zero pipeline and limited brand awareness…
Would that excite you or terrify you?
If your immediate thought was:
“Give me the market and I'll work out how to crack it.”
…I definitely want to hear from you.
