Business Development Executive – IT Services

Syntax Integration is a leading Microsoft Managed Services Provider based in central London, delivering IT, cloud, and security services to clients in the financial, property, and investment management sectors.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Executive to drive the company’s growth and profitability. You will identify, engage, and secure new business through self-generated leads and targeted outreach campaigns to reach sales targets. With a strong understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies, you will be confident representing the company and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a high-impact role and an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth to meet sales targets, with a strong emphasis on self-generating leads and developing new business development strategies.
- Proactively engage in outbound prospecting though phone, email, LinkedIn and other social platforms to build pipelines and book qualified meetings.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progress within Salesforce.
- Stay up to date with core IT solutions we offer, as well as market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies.
- Represent Syntax at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure:
- Qualify opportunities.
- Organise meetings to present our services and capabilities and discuss the customers’ requirements.
- Engage with pre-sales engineers where required.
- Create tailored proposals through understanding customer requirements and aligning solutions with their business needs.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Close the opportunity and coordinate service delivery handover.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree educated
- Experience in a B2B sales or business development role in an MSP, with a proven track record of securing new business.
- Proven ability to engage, negotiate with, and sell to senior stakeholders, executives, including with VIP clients.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern workplace solutions.
- Experience of selling managed IT services, IT support, cloud services, and outsourcing solutions.
- Experience using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, with a desire to learn and develop.
- Clear and fluent spoken and written English.
