Business Development Executive – Digital & Technology Consultancy
📍 UK Wide – Remote
💰 £50,000 – £60,000 base | Bonus
A brilliant opportunity for an ambitious business developer who loves the early stages of the sales process - opening doors, sparking conversations and building the kind of relationships that turn into serious commercial partnerships.
This is a role for someone who gets genuine excitement from landing a first meeting with a senior stakeholder at a major brand - and treats that as a win worth celebrating, not just a box to tick.
The Business
A well-established digital and technology consultancy delivering software development, IT services, and cloud services to enterprise and upper mid-market clients. The commercial team is growing and this role sits at the heart of that - working alongside a senior BD Director to build and develop a pipeline of new enterprise opportunities.
The deals they win are complex, long-cycle engagements - which means getting into the right conversations early, with the right people, really matters. That's where you come in.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Role
You'll be the engine behind top-of-funnel activity - identifying target organisations, opening doors through smart outreach, networking and relationship building, and running initial discovery conversations that set up larger commercial opportunities.
You won't be closing £500k deals from day one - but you will be learning how to, working directly alongside experienced consultancy BD professionals, and building a genuine growth path into broader deal ownership and sector management over time.
This is a role that rewards creativity, persistence and genuine commercial curiosity - not volume metrics and spray-and-pray automation.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years in tech consultancy, IT services, digital agency or similar - SaaS or broader IT backgrounds considered for the right person and culture fit
- A genuine door-opener - comfortable picking up the phone, getting in front of people and building relationships the old-fashioned way, with modern nous behind it
- A brilliant storyteller - able to find the hook, connect with a prospect's world and make them want to keep talking
- Creative and resourceful - the kind of person who finds out a prospect is a trail runner and figures out how to make that relevant, not just sends another LinkedIn message
- Passionate about the early win - gets a genuine buzz from booking the meeting, not just closing the deal
- Honest, collaborative and team-oriented - no lone wolves, no credit-grabbers, no hard sell. Values matter here as much as ability
- Structured but not over-automated - has a process, works it diligently, but brings personality and judgement to every interaction

Why This One Stands Out
- A real growth path - explicitly designed as a pipeline into broader deal ownership and sector leadership as the business scales
- Work alongside and learn from a senior BD Director - proper mentorship, not just a target and a desk
- Competitive base for what is genuinely a top-of-funnel role - this is a polished, thoughtful hire, not a high-volume SDR position
- A team that celebrates every step - first meetings with major brands are treated as wins, because they are
