Business Development Executive

We are working with a well-recognised US law firm to recruit a Business Development Executive to join its collaborative and highly regarded London BD team during an exciting period of growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded BD professional to take on a high level of responsibility, working closely with partners, senior associates, and key stakeholders across the firm.

The Role

The role will involve:

  • Leading the preparation of pitches, presentations, brochures, and deal sheets
  • Supporting key client plans and identifying opportunities to develop relationships
  • Conducting market, client, and competitor research and sharing commercial insights
  • Maintaining CRM and business development data
  • Supporting practice planning and strategic BD projects
  • Coordinating deal information for league tables and rankings
  • Contributing to legal directories, awards, and industry submissions
  • Working collaboratively with BD colleagues across the firm's international offices
  • Using AI and other technology to improve BD processes and efficiency

  • Previous BD/marketing experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is advantageous
  • A willingness to embrace new technologies, including AI
