Yolk Recruitment is proud to be supporting an established and growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in their search for a Business Development Executive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys speaking to new people, opening doors with prospective clients, and creating high-quality sales opportunities. Whether you already have experience within the IT or telecoms sector, or you're a proven outbound B2B salesperson looking to break into the technology industry, full product and industry training will be provided.

You'll play a key role in generating new business opportunities across a range of managed IT services, working closely with the Business Development Managers and Head of Sales to build a strong pipeline of qualified appointments.

What you'll be doing

  • Prospecting new business opportunities through high-volume outbound B2B calling, supported by email, LinkedIn and other sales channels.
  • Researching and identifying target organisations that fit the company's ideal customer profile.
  • Building and managing prospect lists while maintaining an organised pipeline of follow-up activity.
  • Qualifying prospective customers using structured questioning techniques to understand their current IT environment, challenges and future requirements.
  • Booking high-quality appointments for the Business Development Managers and Head of Sales.
  • Accurately updating customer information, conversations and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Working towards daily and monthly KPIs, including outbound call activity, CRM data quality and qualified opportunities generated.
  • Developing a strong understanding of managed IT services, including Cyber Security, Microsoft 365, Azure, Backup & Business Continuity and wider technology solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Recent experience in a high-volume outbound B2B sales, telesales or appointment setting role.
  • Confident and professional communication skills with the ability to engage decision makers over the phone.
  • A resilient, self-motivated approach and a desire to succeed in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage leads and sales activity.
  • Experience within IT services, managed services, telecoms or technology sales would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with full training provided.
