BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ACRINGTON, LANCASHIRE £35,000 - £40,000 BASIC + UNCAPPED BONUS + CAREER PROGRESSION
Ready to take ownership of the sales function as a Business Development Executive, within a growing business where you'll inherit warm accounts, earn uncapped bonus and have a genuine opportunity to build and lead a sales team?
Get Recruited are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business within the manufacturing sector. With over 20 years of success, they're now looking for a Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive to take ownership of their sales function and continue driving growth across their customer base.
This is a fantastic opportunity as a Business Development Executive to inherit a warm customer portfolio while also having the autonomy to identify and win new business. You'll be joining a friendly, close-knit sales team where your ideas are valued, your success is rewarded, and there is genuine opportunity to build and lead a sales team as the business continues to grow.
THE ROLE
- Manage and develop an established customer base across the UK.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring repeat business and identifying additional sales opportunities.
- Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, LinkedIn activity and relationship building.
- Follow up incoming enquiries and convert opportunities into sales.
- Work with customers including builders' merchants, distributors and businesses within the gas sector.
- Prepare quotations, process orders and ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Negotiate pricing and maximise commercial opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer records and manage your own sales pipeline.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently.
- Play a key role in helping shape the future growth of the commercial team.

THE PERSON
- Experience in a Business Development, Sales or Account Management role, such as Business Development Executive, Internal Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Internal Sales Executive, Internal Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Commercial Executive, Commercial Account Manager, Business Development Consultant or a similar position.
- Confident building relationships over the phone and developing long-term customer partnerships.
- A proactive, driven salesperson who enjoys identifying opportunities and winning new business.
- Comfortable managing a mix of existing accounts while bringing on new customers.
- Strong communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
- Happy working in a fully office-based role as part of a close-knit team.
- Experience within construction, builders' merchants, industrial supplies or manufacturing would be advantageous, but full product training will be provided, so industry experience isn't essential.

- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (Early Friday finish incentives)
