Business Development Executive — Media, Publishing & Events (Manufacturing Sector)

Location: Wimbledon
Schedule: 5 days per week

Salary: £36K + strong commission structure.

A well-established media and events business serving the manufacturing and engineering sector.

Are you a confident, commercially-minded salesperson who loves turning conversations into revenue? We're recruiting for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join a growing commercial team within a respected manufacturing media and events brand. You'll sell across a market-leading portfolio including content & digital marketing campaigns, advertising & sponsorship, newsletters & webinars, conferences, awards programmes and exhibitions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and managing a pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Generating new business through proactive outreach, networking and research.
  • Selling advertising, digital campaigns, sponsorship and exhibition opportunities.
  • Building relationships with senior marketers, directors and business owners.
  • Negotiating and closing deals over the phone, online and face-to-face

You'll thrive here if you have:

  • B2B sales experience — media, publishing, advertising, events or sponsorship background preferred.
  • A proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
  • Genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering or the wider industrial sector
  • A self-motivated, resilient and target-driven mindset
