Job Title: Business Development Executive

Salary: Up to £32,000 base + OTE

Location: Milton Keynes

Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our existing Sales Team based in Milton Keynes on a hybrid working model.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and ambitious sales professional who enjoys engaging with clients, identifying solutions and driving revenue growth.

About The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for selling BSI products and services to new and existing clients across a defined product suite of ISO standards and certifications. You will identify and manage sales opportunities while partnering with clients to build an in-depth understanding of their business needs and drivers. Through consultative sales techniques, you'll position our products and services to enable organisations to improve their business performance.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Proactively generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and targeted sales activity.
  • Grow revenue by identifying opportunities to introduce additional BSI products and services to existing clients.
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across a variety of industries.
  • Understand client challenges, objectives, and business drivers to recommend the most suitable BSI solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to successful close.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate resources, resolve client queries, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in sales and business development.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish credibility across all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully encourage clients to expand their product range.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Previous experience of CRM systems including Salesforce would be desirable.

Salary

The annual base salary for this position is up to £32,000 per annum; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, candidate competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
