Business Development Executive – Technology | Entry Level

Location: Basingstoke

Start Date: November 2026

Launch your career in technology sales

Looking to start a career in Tech sales but don’t necessarily have previous experience?

I’m working with an established technology business that is looking for ambitious, commercially minded people to join its sales team in Basingstoke.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced sales environment with exposure to some of the biggest names in global technology, while developing knowledge across areas including AI, cybersecurity, cloud, data centres and high-performance computing.

Previous sales experience isn’t required. What matters more is your attitude, ambition and willingness to learn.

The role

You’ll receive structured training before developing your own customer relationships and taking increasing ownership of new business opportunities.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Speaking with prospective customers and building relationships
  • Understanding customer challenges and identifying suitable solutions
  • Learning how to prospect, qualify opportunities and handle objections
  • Working alongside leading global technology vendors
  • Developing your negotiation and commercial skills
  • Managing and growing customer relationships
  • Working towards individual and team sales targets
  • Building your knowledge of emerging technology markets
