Built using the latest technology stack, our solutions incorporate AI-powered features today, with an exciting roadmap of future innovation that will continue to transform the industries we serve.

The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Business Development Executive to join our growing commercial team.

This is a true new business sales role, ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, opening doors, and winning new customers.

You'll be responsible for developing new business across the UK and Ireland, promoting our Auctionmarts platform and Auctionmarts Hub software alongside our payments platform to auctioneers and businesses operating within agriculture, livestock, plant, and machinery, while helping us expand into wider commercial markets including:

  • Plant & Machinery
  • Commercial Auctions
  • Dispersal Sales
  • Asset Disposal
  • Industrial Auctions
  • Construction
  • Groundcare
  • Forestry
  • Other related auction sectors

This role combines remote working, Microsoft Teams meetings, customer site visits, industry events, and regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline through proactive prospecting.
  • Cold call prospective customers and generate appointments.
  • Conduct online and face-to-face product demonstrations.
  • Develop relationships with business owners, auctioneers, and decision makers.
  • Understand customer challenges and present tailored software solutions.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
  • Consistently achieve new business sales targets and KPIs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
