I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Products You Will Be Selling
You will be selling a range of business communication and connectivity services, including:
- Business broadband: Internet connectivity packages for businesses.
- Business mobile SIM contracts: Mobile packages for businesses and their employees.
- VoIP telephone systems: Modern cloud-based telephone solutions for business communications.
Product information, pricing guidance and quotation processes will be provided to help you understand the services available.
Commission Structure and Earning Potential
This is a self-employed, commission-only role with no guaranteed basic salary.
You will earn commission based on the profit generated from the first month’s revenue for each successful deal.
Commission will be payable once the customer’s service has gone live, subject to the agreed commission terms.
Example of how the commission works:
- Monthly revenue from the customer: £400
- Cost of providing the service: £200
- Your commission: £200
The commission is calculated by deducting the cost of providing the service from the first month’s revenue.
The more profitable deals you close, the more you can earn. There is no fixed cap on earnings, although your income will depend on the number and value of the deals you secure.
Full commission terms, including payment timings and any applicable adjustments, will be explained before you begin.
