Business Development Executive – Partnership Sales
Location: London – Hybrid
Salary: £45k + Uncapped Commission (£80k realistic year 1 earnings)
We are excited to be working with a fast-growing B2B events business delivering high-level executive events across a range of specialist industries.
Our client creates premium events that bring together senior decision-makers from some of the world's biggest organisations with leading technology vendors, consultancies and professional services firms.
With a growing portfolio of events and an ambitious expansion strategy, the business is continuing to grow its commercial team and is now looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to drive partnership revenue across its event portfolio.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious B2B sales professional looking for a role offering significant earning potential, autonomy and the opportunity to build a valuable client portfolio.
You'll take ownership of new business development, selling tailored partnership opportunities to companies looking to connect with senior decision-makers across a portfolio of premium, executive-level events.
Significant opportunities for repeat business, there is strong scope to build a substantial book of clients and grow your earnings over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and targeted outreach through to pitching, negotiation and closing.
- Sell tailored partnership packages across a portfolio of premium, senior-level B2B events.
- Research markets to identify target companies, key decision-makers and relevant commercial opportunities.
- Drive new business by developing relationships with technology vendors, consultancies and professional services firms.
- Build and execute targeted outbound campaigns across multiple markets and sectors.
- Engage confidently with senior decision-makers, understanding their commercial objectives and presenting relevant partnership solutions.
- Develop long-term client relationships and maximise opportunities for repeat business.
- Build and maintain a strong commercial pipeline across multiple event cycles.
- Work closely with marketing, production, operations and delegate sales teams to ensure successful events and a strong client experience.
- Consistently deliver against ambitious but achievable revenue targets.

We are looking for someone with:
- 2–3 years' B2B sales experience, ideally with a strong focus on new business.
- A proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience selling commercial partnerships, sponsorship, events, media or a related B2B solution.
- Strong experience winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.
- Confidence engaging and selling to senior decision-makers.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent research and preparation skills, with the ability to create highly targeted outreach.
- A commercially driven, resilient and proactive approach to new business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to independently manage a busy pipeline and multiple sales cycles simultaneously.
- A strong commercial mindset and genuine motivation to build revenue and maximise earning potential.
