Job Opportunity

An established, founder-led industrial technology company is opening a brand-new UK office and building out its South England sales territory. It has been connecting industrial machines to the cloud for over a decade, has a global customer base and a small, high-performing UK team already in place. What it needs now is someone who can pick up the phone, open doors with cold prospects, and turn those conversations into a pipeline of their own.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
  • Commission: 15%
  • Car Allowance: £4,800 a year (£400 a month), on top of base and commission

What the Company Does

The company builds the software and hardware that let industrial machine builders connect to, monitor and remotely support their equipment anywhere in the world. Edge hardware fitted inside a machine's control cabinet pairs with a cloud platform that turns raw machine data into real-time visibility, remote troubleshooting and automated reporting. It is independent, profitable, and has been doing this for over ten years, with machines connected worldwide.

What the Role Involves

  • Own the South Territory: Build your own pipeline of machine-builder prospects across the South of England, working from a base around Rugby.
  • Prospect at Pace: This is a high-activity role built on outbound calling, and you'll be building your own book of business from cold rather than working an inherited list.
  • Run a Structured Sales Process: Take prospects through a proven demo methodology that turns technical conversations into commercial outcomes.
  • Build Relationships with Technical Buyers: Connect credibly with engineers and technical decision-makers.
  • Grow the Accounts You Win: Once a customer is live, spot and pursue opportunities to expand the relationship.
  • Work Closely with the Wider UK Team: Collaborate day-to-day with Solution Engineering as the office builds out.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who We're Looking For

This is a role for someone who has already proved they can cold call and wants to do more of it, not someone looking to move away from the phone.

  • Experience: 2-3 years of total sales experience, with a strong track record of outbound cold calling.
  • Attributes: Comfortable working to daily and weekly activity targets in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment. A real hunter mentality: you enjoy turning cold conversations into commercial wins more than managing an existing patch.
  • Background: Some experience selling a SaaS or technology product is useful; a technical background or exposure to the machine-building or industrial sector is a plus, though not essential.
  • Location: Comfortable being in the Ashby-de-la-Zouch office 2-3 days a week, and open to a short international trip early on as part of onboarding.

Note: This role runs on outbound activity. If cold calling isn't something you already enjoy and are good at, this one isn't for you.

What's on Offer

  • Compensation: £35,000 to £45,000 base salary depending on experience, plus 15% commission.
  • Car Allowance: £4,800 a year (£400 a month), on top of base and commission.
  • Real Ownership: Your own territory from day one, in a role that's building the UK operation rather than joining an established machine.
  • Structured Onboarding: A proven sales methodology, plus time with the wider international team early on.
  • Hybrid Working: Based from a Midlands office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, 2-3 days a week.
  • Stability: Backed by an established, profitable, founder-led international business.
