Role Description

This full-time remote role as Business Development Executive – Shocal London offers guaranteed hourly pay with uncapped performance commission. The role involves identifying and contacting local businesses across London, presenting Shocal’s value proposition, and onboarding new partners to the platform. The Business Development Executive will build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, support them through setup and launch, and gather feedback to improve their experience and performance.

The role also includes monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine outreach strategies and contribute to Shocal’s expansion in London.

Qualifications

  • Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing new business with local merchants.
  • Account management and relationship-building abilities to support partners, address issues, and drive ongoing engagement.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and adapt to different stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple prospects, follow-ups, and reporting efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, online meeting software, and basic data tracking.
  • Prior experience in local commerce, retail, restaurants, delivery platforms, or similar marketplace environments is beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
  • Relevant education or training in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience is also valued.
