About the role
We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join a growing UK & Ireland Sales team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys winning new business, building strong customer relationships, and working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You’ll take ownership of your region, identifying new opportunities, developing a strong pipeline, and helping customers find the right solutions for their business.
This is a field-based role, so you’ll need to be comfortable spending time on the road meeting customers across the South West territory.
What you’ll be doing
- Driving new business development across your assigned region
- Managing and growing a portfolio of new and existing customers
- Building a strong understanding of each customer’s business, market and strategic priorities
- Developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Identifying, qualifying and prioritising sales opportunities
- Building a healthy pipeline and managing activity against KPIs
- Working with internal teams to develop and deliver tailored customer solutions
- Supporting marketing campaigns, trade shows and seminars
- Monitoring customer satisfaction and helping resolve issues effectively
- Identifying new market opportunities and helping shape regional growth plans

What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from candidates who bring:
- Experience in business development, sales or account management
- A strong track record of winning new business
- A proactive, self-starting approach and a genuine hunter mentality
- Confidence in building relationships and creating opportunities from scratch
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A professional and credible approach with customers
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
Experience that would be particularly relevant
We’re especially interested in people with experience in:
- Logistics
- Transport
- Freight forwarding
- Bulk freight
- Pharmaceutical, life sciences or BioPharma-related sectors
If you’ve worked in a commercially focused role within a logistics or transport environment and enjoy opening doors, building pipeline and developing long-term customer partnerships, this could be a great fit.
