The opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career to join Stone King's highly respected Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) Team.
The role can be based in any of our six offices (Bath, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, London, or Manchester) and hybrid working will be available.
To provide proactive support for business development initiatives, ensuring smooth delivery of growth plans and client engagement activities. This role focuses on event follow-up, client communications, sales enablement, and coordination between fee-earners and the marketing team, helping the firm convert opportunities and strengthen relationships.

Key Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:
Client & event follow-up
- Own the follow-up process for events and webinars, ensuring timely communication, effective lead management, and accurate tracking of opportunities arising from attendee engagement.
- Advise on invite data selection and audience targeting to maximise event attendance, engagement, and pipeline generation.
- Support the development and progression of pipelines identifying event-generated leads.
- Maintain accurate records of follow-up actions and outcomes.

Fee-earner engagement
- Attend meetings to capture and drive BD-related actions.
- Communicate growth priorities and required tasks to the wider marketing team.
Sales enablement
- Create and maintain materials for the sales enablement hub (e.g., pitch decks, case studies, product sheets).
- Ensure resources are up to date and accessible for fee earners.
Client & product support
- Respond to product-related enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with BD Manager to escalate complex queries or opportunities.
Coordination & reporting
- Support BD Manager with pipeline tracking and reporting.
- Assist in preparing summaries of BD activity for monthly reports.
Requirements
Essential
- Experience creating and maintaining BD collateral such as pitch decks, case studies, credentials, and product sheets.
- Understanding of basic BD processes such as lead follow-up, tracking opportunities, and supporting pipeline activity.
- Confidence using CRM systems (InterAction preferable) to update records, log actions, and extract information for reports.
- Ability to capture actions from meetings accurately and ensure they are followed through to completion.
- Comfortable working with data — able to review simple reports, spot inconsistencies, and pull-out key points for BD Manager updates.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role within a professional services background or law firm.

- High attention to detail, with strong proofreading ability to maintain brand consistency and deliver high-quality content.
- Strong organisation skills, taking full ownership of tasks and ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines.
- Commercially aware and results-oriented, with a natural ability to recognise opportunities, think strategically, and identify ways to drive business growth and strengthen client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively, consistently demonstrating alignment with the firm's core values.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
