About Track My Tools!
Track My Tools! designs and supplies intelligent tool-control solutions for organisations where tool accountability, efficiency and control are critical. Our solutions range from bespoke foam inserts and laser-marked tool storage through to RFID access, automated digital toolboxes, calibration management and enterprise-level integrations. We work across technically demanding industries including aerospace, defence, rail, automotive, manufacturing, maintenance and MRO.
Following continued growth, we are now looking to recruit our first dedicated Business Development Executive to help us develop new opportunities and support our growing distributor network.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on business development position for someone who enjoys creating opportunities rather than simply managing an existing account base.
You will work directly with the Directors of Track My Tools! and will be responsible for generating new end-user opportunities, developing relationships with our distributors and ensuring opportunities are consistently followed through from initial conversation to quotation and order.
You'll have the freedom to develop your own pipeline while having direct access to our technical team for more complex digital tool-control opportunities.
You do not need to arrive as an expert in tool control. We will provide comprehensive product and technical training.
What we do need is someone who knows how to prospect, build relationships, qualify opportunities and keep deals moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new B2B opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting.
- Identify and approach engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, rail and other relevant end users.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our distributor and channel partners.
- Regularly follow up distributor-generated opportunities and quotations.
- Qualify new enquiries and understand customer requirements.
- Arrange and increasingly lead product demonstrations and introductory meetings.
- Work alongside our Directors and technical team on larger or more technically complex projects.
- Manage opportunities from initial contact through demonstration, quotation, commercial follow-up and purchase order.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline with clear next actions and expected close dates.
- Identify opportunities to expand Track My Tools! into additional departments, sites and companies within existing customer groups.
- Attend customer sites, distributor meetings, exhibitions and industry events where required.
- Provide market and customer feedback to support future product and commercial development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Career Progression
This is an important appointment for Track My Tools! because you will be joining us as our first dedicated sales professional.

We want someone who is interested in helping us build the sales function, not simply filling a seat within one.
Interested?
If you have experience in technical, engineering or industrial B2B sales and are looking for an opportunity where you can make a genuine impact on a growing business, we'd like to hear from you.
