About Nexibium
Nexibium is a UK-based telecom technology and consultancy business focused on independent network intelligence, customer experience and evidence-led network validation. We work with telecom operators, MVNOs and infrastructure providers to help them better understand network performance, customer experience and service quality through a combination of field validation, analytics and network intelligence. We are now looking for a hands-on Business Development Executive to join us on a six-month fixed-term contract and help build and progress our commercial pipeline across the UK and selected European markets. This role would suit someone who enjoys prospecting, opening conversations and developing opportunities rather than simply managing existing accounts.
The Role
You will take ownership of day-to-day sales execution across a defined list of telecom prospects. You will work directly with the founder and use an established sales process, CRM, lead database, outreach messaging and prospect intelligence to identify opportunities and convert relevant conversations into qualified meetings and sales opportunities. This is a practical, execution-focused role. You should be comfortable researching prospects, writing personalised outreach, using LinkedIn, making outbound calls and maintaining accurate CRM records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage senior decision-makers across UK telecom operators, MVNOs and related organisations.
- Execute multi-channel outbound activity using LinkedIn, email and telephone.
- Research target organisations and identify relevant commercial or operational triggers.
- Personalise outreach based on the prospect's role, organisation and current priorities.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and progress conversations through the sales funnel.
- Qualify prospects and arrange relevant meetings with senior stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, notes and opportunity information within Zoho CRM.
- Manage an active portfolio of prospects and ensure agreed follow-ups are completed.
- Support preparation for discovery calls, proposals and commercial discussions.
- Work closely with the founder to refine targeting and messaging based on market feedback.
- Provide a concise weekly update covering activity, conversations, opportunities, blockers and next actions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For
We are primarily interested in someone who can demonstrate strong sales execution rather than simply having an impressive job title. You should ideally have:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B business development, sales or a similar commercial role.
- Experience prospecting and generating new business rather than solely managing existing accounts.
- Confidence speaking with senior business and technical decision-makers.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to write natural, personalised sales messages.
- Confidence making outbound calls and following up persistently but professionally.
- Good organisation and CRM discipline.
- The ability to understand and explain technical or consultative propositions.
- A self-directed approach and ability to work effectively in a small, entrepreneurial business.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with structured B2B sales qualification methodologies such as MEDDIC or MEDDPICC.
- Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly useful: Telecommunications, Mobile networks, MNOs or MVNOs, Network performance or customer experience, SaaS or technology sales, Telecom consulting or professional services, Enterprise B2B sales.
- Direct telecom experience is helpful but not essential if you have successfully sold complex B2B technology or professional services.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will not be measured simply by the number of emails or LinkedIn messages sent. We will focus on:
- Relevant decision-makers engaged.
- Meaningful sales conversations created.
- Qualified meetings generated.
- Opportunities progressed.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Accurate CRM management.
- Commercial feedback from the market.
- Contribution toward pilots and new customer acquisition.

Contract & Compensation
- Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract.
- Expected period: September 2026 – March 2027.
- Location: UK-based, primarily remote.
- Salary: Approximately £32,000–£38,000 annualised depending on experience.
- Additional compensation: Performance-based commission / bonus.
- Potential extension: There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent depending on performance and business requirements.
Why Join Nexibium?
This is an opportunity to join a growing telecom business at an early commercial stage where your contribution will be highly visible.
You will not be joining a large sales organisation with layers of management and rigid scripts. You will have direct access to the founder, an established prospecting infrastructure and the opportunity to influence how the sales operation develops.
For someone who enjoys creating opportunities, speaking to senior stakeholders and helping shape a growing business, the role offers considerable ownership and variety. UK visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates following successful completion of the fixed-term contract, subject to role requirements, performance, business need and eligibility under the Skilled Worker route.
How to Apply
Please apply with your CV and a short note explaining:
- Your experience generating new B2B sales opportunities.
- Any telecom or technology experience you have.
- The types of decision-makers you have previously sold to.
- Why a six-month fixed-term opportunity appeals to you.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate examples of opportunities they personally created and progressed through outbound sales activity.
