Business Development Executive – PI & Financial Lines
Location: Worcester
Salary: Competitive basic salary + bonus/commission + benefits
The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Executive to join a growing insurance business with a specialist focus on Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong market knowledge and a proven ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and generate new business partnerships. The successful individual will play a key role in expanding the company's distribution network, developing Affinity partnerships and creating new routes to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth across the PI and Financial Lines market.
- Identify, approach and secure new Affinity and strategic partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with insurance brokers, wholesalers, introducers and other key distribution partners.
- Develop new routes to market and identify opportunities for profitable growth.
- Generate and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partnerships and business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal underwriting, broking and leadership teams to develop compelling propositions for prospective partners.
- Attend industry events, networking opportunities and client meetings to build market presence.
- Develop a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within PI and Financial Lines.
- Take ownership of the full business development cycle, from initial approach through to negotiating and launching new partnerships.
- Deliver against agreed growth, revenue and partnership targets.

About You
We are keen to speak with individuals who have:
- Strong experience within the Professional Indemnity and/or Financial Lines insurance market.
- A background in broking or wholesale broking is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in business development, partnership generation or new business growth.
- Experience developing Affinity schemes, partnerships or alternative distribution channels would be a significant advantage.
- An established network of contacts within the insurance market.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into commercial results.
- A genuine appetite for growing a specialist insurance proposition.
