I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will create and qualify new refurbishment opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline of commercially viable projects.
Specifically, you will identify and engage the right decision-makers across commercial landlords, facilities teams and education estates, opening new conversations and maintaining consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle.

Additionally, you will:
- Build targeted prospect lists
- Identify practical project constraints early
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
- Support occasional site visits
- Test and refine sectors and messaging based on what converts
About You

- Experience of remaining resilient and consistent within a competitive market
- Evidence of strong qualification and follow-up discipline
- Strong CRM habits and a commitment to maintaining accurate data
- Confidence communicating with senior decision-makers and asking direct, commercially relevant questions
- Clear written English language skills, with the ability to produce targeted and natural-sounding emails
