Join a Growing Business

Karntek is a growing business specialising in fire safety compliance. We work with organisations across the UK, helping them maintain safe, compliant buildings through a range of inspection, survey, and compliance services.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Business Development Executive to help us build new relationships, identify opportunities and support our continued success.

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you'll play an important role in supporting the growth of the business by identifying and developing relationships with prospective and existing clients.

A significant part of the role will involve proactively contacting new organisations, identifying the appropriate decision-makers, introducing Karntek and exploring whether there may be a requirement for our fire safety and compliance services.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll help raise awareness of our services, identify new opportunities and contribute to our ongoing growth plans.

You'll engage with a wide range of organisations and professionals across multiple sectors through telephone conversations, follow-up communication, client meetings, networking events and industry activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Identify and engage with new business opportunities across our target sectors.
  • Attend networking events, exhibitions and industry meetings.
  • Arrange and participate in client meetings and introductory discussions.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations and business development materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and activities within company systems.
  • Conduct market research and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support business growth initiatives.
  • Promote Karntek's services in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Support the delivery of business development and marketing activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
