Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location

Beverley, East Yorkshire | Hybrid, with potential home-based flexibility

Salary

£26,000 - £30,000 plus commission

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with an ambitious and growing business to recruit a Business Development Executive. This is an opportunity to join a commercially focused team where your ability to connect with customers, spot opportunities and build lasting relationships will make a visible difference.

You’ll combine proactive business development with relationship management and sales support, taking ownership of prospects from initial contact through to qualified opportunity. You’ll have clear goals to work towards, while being trusted to organise your activity, manage your pipeline and deliver a responsive customer experience.

The Opportunity:

As a Business Development Executive you’ll play a key role in:

  • Identifying and engaging prospective customers through calls, email, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Qualifying opportunities, understanding customer requirements and arranging high-quality meetings for commercial colleagues.
  • Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, keeping CRM information accurate and following up consistently with prospects.
  • Supporting the customer journey through quotations, proposals, orders and samples, working closely with internal teams to keep everything moving smoothly.
  • Monitoring customer feedback, market developments and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who can bring:

  • Confidence communicating with new and existing customers, with the ability to build rapport across phone, email and digital channels.
  • A proactive approach to prospecting and the motivation to work towards clear sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, with accurate record keeping and a practical approach to sales administration.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused mindset. You’ll be comfortable working independently while also sharing information and working closely with colleagues.

  • Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 + commission
  • Predominantly Beverley-based working with one day per week from home.
  • Potential flexibility for a home-based arrangement, subject to being able to travel to Beverley approximately once or twice per month.
