Business Development Executive – High-Value Asset Management - Edinburgh (4 days onsite)
Year 1 OTE: £60,000 – £100,000 - Alternative Investments Industry
This is a unique business development role offering a genuine warm-lead advantage—granting you immediate access to a database of 5,000+ existing clients, alongside the scope to build and own your personal book of business. You will guide High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) through cask ownership for personal enjoyment or speculative investment with clarity, honesty, and a consultative approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Prospect, pitch, handle objections, and close business with high-net-worth clients, converting warm leads and self-sourced opportunities.
- HNWI Lead Generation: Research, identify, and engage potential investors through referrals, networking, industry events, and targeted outreach.
- Consultative Education: Confidently present tailored proposals around cask ownership and alternative asset management, aligning with each client's financial goals.
- Client Retention & Growth: Nurture long-term relationships post-sale to drive repeat purchases, portfolio expansion, and organic referrals.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain rigorous CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and deal tracking.
- Compliant Selling: Ensure all conversations around asset returns are accurate, balanced, and prioritize long-term client trust over short-term sales pressure.

- Sales Track Record: Proven background in high-value sales, client-facing business development, or high-net-worth relationship management.
- Relationship Builder: Excellent credibility and communication skills when speaking with HNWIs about high-value physical assets.
- Proactive Hunter: Driven to source new business alongside working internal warm leads.
- Compliance Mindset: Ability to communicate financial/investment potential responsibly and accurately.
- Domain Knowledge: Scotch whisky or alternative asset experience is desirable but not essential—full industry training is provided.
