I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

International Events, Travel & Representation
- Participate in and support overseas exhibitions, campaigns, and events as part of the international sales strategy.
- Travel must be booked at least two weeks in advance; a travel itinerary must be prepared at least three weeks before departure to allow time for quotations and approval.
- Follow company travel guidelines and maintain communication with the UK team for operational and safety purposes.
- Business attire is mandatory, preferably uniform or similar colourways (e.g. navy or black suit).
- A day rate for expenses should be agreed in advance, or spending over £100 must be approved during travel.
- Entertaining costs must be documented with names of attendees; receipts are required and should be submitted via IFS weekly.

Expectations During Overseas Travel

Client Relationship Management & Sales Reporting
- Track sales performance and lead conversion rates.
- Log all client interactions accurately in the C360 database wherever reasonably possible. BDEs are expected to maintain and update C360 themselves as a primary responsibility. However, during overseas travel, events, or periods of operational pressure, support may be requested from on-site marketing teams to assist with inputting and updating client activity.
- BDEs should carry out at least 50% of international agent viewings when in the UK.
- Provide same-day feedback for all viewings.
- Be clear with agents regarding the procedure to registering leads with a development.
- For ad-hoc/day-to-day registrations, agents will be provided with a two-week protection period from the date of registration. During this period, no other agent may register the same client for the same development.
- The two-week registration protection period is intended to allow agents to follow up with clients, arrange site visits or virtual appointments, and progress negotiations.
- If a site visit or virtual appointment is arranged and undertaken by an agent, that agent will retain protection for a further two-week period following the appointment date.
- If a client purchases at an overseas event, exhibition, or sales campaign, the sale will be attributed to the agent responsible for hosting or closing the sale at that event, regardless of any prior registration, unless otherwise agreed following management review.
- BDEs must maintain regular follow-up with agents regarding registered leads and ensure all updates, activity, and outcomes are recorded clearly within C360.
- Any disputes, duplicate registrations, or exceptional cases should be escalated to management for review and resolution.
