37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join their team of staff in the Marketing department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Create in conjunction with the Executive Director and Sales and Marketing Manager, a business development plan targeting external stakeholders, which positions the hospital and services within the catchment areas to drive market share growth.
- Accountable for the identification of key local referrer accounts by analysing current growth, strategic importance and impact, and future potential from a range of internal and external data sources.
- Establish and develop strong relationships with GP practices, physiotherapy practices and other referrals sources including local Primary Care Networks, Optometrists and SME’s.
- Identify and participate in initiatives to increase market share and enhance the hospital’s reputation with referral sources.
- Use data and insights to plan and deliver tailored engagement strategies that increase referrals and revenue from existing and new practices.
- Coordinate and deliver a range of referrer engagement activities, including practice visits, educational events, hospital tours and webinars.
- Identify referrer practice needs and collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall referral journey by acting as the main point of contact.
- Collaborate with hospital marketing team to develop and deliver targeted collateral and digital campaigns plus maintain active communication through newsletters and social media channels.
- Develop mechanisms to deliver insight and feedback received on hospital performance and referrals trends to enable continuous improvement.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience gained in an influencing role within healthcare or related b2b environment.
- Key Account Management experience including stakeholder engagement.
- Experience of customer relations management / business to business sales.
- Proven ability to thrive in a cross functional environment.
- Proven influencing and sales skills.
- Strategic and tactical thinking with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
