THE ROLE
The primary objective of this position is to enable the growth of our business by delivering impactful sustainability solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using our digital scoping, purchasing and client support platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team at the intersection of technology and climate leadership, helping organizations transition to a low-carbon future.
As a Business Development Executive, SME, you’ll play a key role in the sales cycle—from identifying and engaging prospective users, to guiding them through the onboarding process, and supporting ongoing client success. You’ll work as part of a dynamic, client-facing global team that supports growth, retention, and engagement across our offerings.

This is an entry-level quota carrying role reporting to our Head of Client Solutions – UK & RoW, and collaborating closely with the global business development teams. You’ll be exposed to every stage of the sales funnel and develop hands-on experience with key sales tools, including CRM and marketing automation platforms.
We’re looking for someone who is tech-savvy, commercially curious, and passionate about the role digital tools can play in solving the climate challenge. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, and keen to develop client-centric solutions through a consultative, data-informed approach.
Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle sales, including lead qualification, product demos, proposal development, and onboarding;
- Deliver compelling, professional digital presentations and product walk-throughs for clients and prospects;
- Collaborate with the Client Solutions team to manage client renewals and platform engagement, supporting high retention and usage rates;
- Generate outbound opportunities through referrals, campaigns, and market research;
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, video calls, social media, and occasional in-person meetings;
- Keep the CRM system (Salesforce) up to date and manage accurate sales and customer activity pipelines;
- Participate in the design and execution of new digital sales processes and client onboarding journeys;
- Stay informed on the latest developments in digital sustainability tools and climate-related solutions;
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, and product teams to align on go-to-market strategies and customer feedback loops.

What We Are Looking For
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong interest in sustainability and digital tools that enable environmental impact and sustainability;
- Experience or education in tech-enabled sales, CRM systems (Salesforce), or customer engagement platforms is a plus;
- Tech-literate and comfortable learning new tools and digital platforms;
- Proactive, organized, and confident in working independently as well as within a remote team;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships;
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and managing multiple priorities with attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
Nice to have’s
- Experience in the voluntary carbon market, or a passion for sustainability and climate topics is a plus, demonstrating alignment with our mission and a deeper understanding of industry trends.
