We’re looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, starting conversations and building relationships. You’ll lead our UK business development, grow our network of business partners and help turn great conversations into partnerships that create real environmental impact.

What difference will you make?

Every new business relationship has the potential to help us plant more trees, support more environmental projects and create greater impact.

  • You’ll help us grow a stronger and more sustainable network of business supporters across the UK, developing partnerships that go beyond one-off donations and become genuine long-term relationships.
  • You’ll also help shape how our UK business development team develops, giving us the structure and relationships we need to reach more businesses, grow our income and ultimately get more trees in the ground.

This is a chance to put your business development experience to work for something tangible, helping businesses turn their support for the environment into action.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in business development, partnerships, sales, fundraising or relationship management.
  • Confidence approaching businesses and starting conversations with new people.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage with senior business contacts.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to spot opportunities and turn ideas into action.
  • The ability to develop long-term relationships rather than simply focusing on the initial ask.
  • Confidence supporting and motivating other volunteers as our UK Growth team develops.
  • An interest in sustainability, the environment and creating positive impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience of corporate fundraising or the environmental sector would be useful, but it isn’t essential. We’re much more interested in someone who understands how to build genuine relationships with businesses and wants to use those skills to make a difference.

As our Business Development Lead, you’ll take the lead on growing those relationships across the UK. You’ll identify businesses and sectors where there’s a natural fit, start conversations with prospective supporters and develop those relationships into long-term partnerships.

You won’t be starting from scratch. We already have an established partnership model, brand and materials in place, as well as existing business partners. What we need now is someone who can help us build on those foundations and take our approach to business development to the next level.

You’ll also help us develop our UK business development team, supporting volunteers to build relationships within their own networks and areas, and helping us create a joined-up approach to growing business support

It’s an opportunity to take real ownership of business development within a growing environmental organisation, and help build the partnerships that allow us to plant more trees and create more impact.
