We are working with a highly regarded London law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development & Legal Directories Executive.
The immediate priority for this role is to take ownership of the firm’s legal directory submissions, so previous hands-on experience managing Chambers, Legal 500 and similar submissions is essential.
This would suit someone who has spent at least two years working directly on legal directories within a law firm or professional services environment and who understands the full submissions process from planning and information gathering through to drafting, coordinating referee feedback, managing deadlines and working with Partners and fee earners.
Alongside directories, the successful candidate will also support the wider business development and marketing function, including campaigns, events, client development activity, CRM, pitches and broader practice support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
