£45,000 – £55,000 plus annual performance related bonus
Bywater is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of management systems and business improvement training, supporting predominately UK based organisations across a wide range of industries. We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive our continued growth and build on our current strength in the market.
Success in this role will come from working closely with clients to understand the people involved, the challenges they face and the objectives they want to achieve. By doing this, you will help ensure they attend the right training, achieve the outcomes they are looking for and leave with an experience that makes them want to recommend Bywater to others.

In addition to helping with the constant stream of enquiries we receive, we are also looking for you to help research new markets, explore new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and bring fresh ideas to help us move forward and stay ahead of our competitors.
Requirements
To succeed, you will be confident, commercially focused, enthusiastic and curious. You will enjoy building relationships, understanding customer needs and finding opportunities to turn those relationships into long-term business relationships.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in business development, sales, account management or a similar role within the training industry.
- A confident communicator with excellent influencing and listening skills.
- Commercially minded, always looking for opportunities to grow the business.
- Consultative in approach.
- Great at building high-trust relationships.
- Someone who takes ownership, turns ideas into action and finds practical ways to make a positive impact.

We are offering a competitive salary and a performance related annual bonus. There is also the potential opportunity in future to split your working time between the office and home.
You will also be supported with on-the-job training and have access to our suite of business improvement courses.
