Business Development Manager – Fire & Security | South

📍 Hybrid – St Albans, Hertfordshire

💰 £35,000 – £45,000 basic + OTE up to £70,000

📅 9/10-day working fortnight

We’re recruiting for an established Fire & Security business looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of new business growth across the South.

This is a genuine new business and growth-focused role, with responsibility for identifying opportunities, building relationships and winning high-value Fire & Security installation, service and maintenance contracts.

The role will involve:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across your territory
  • Building relationships with key decision-makers and developing new accounts
  • Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract award and mobilisation
  • Winning installation, service and maintenance contracts
  • Developing proposals, quotations and commercial solutions
  • Negotiating contracts to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Growing existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
  • Managing your sales pipeline, forecasts and CRM activity
  • Working closely with technical and operational teams to deliver the right solutions

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven Business Development or Sales experience within the Fire & Security sector
  • A strong track record of winning new business
  • Experience selling installation projects and ongoing service/maintenance contracts
  • Full sales cycle experience from lead generation through to contract award
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
  • The confidence to engage with both public and private sector customers
  • A proactive, target-driven approach
  • Full UK driving licence
