Business Development Manager

Base Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 (Dependent on experience)
Benefits: Comprehensive Executive Benefits Package (Includes Car Allowance, Performance-Linked Bonus, Enhanced Pension, Private Medical Insurance, and Life Cover)
Location: UK (Flexible / Hybrid / London & Regional Hubs)

Our client is a premier engineering and energy consultancy renowned for delivering cutting-edge decarbonisation, renewable integration, and sustainable design solutions across the built environment. In response to sustained commercial growth and increasing demand for energy-transition expertise, they are appointing a Business Development Manager to accelerate their market expansion across the UK

The Role

  • Will report to the Commercial Director, driving target lead generation, campaign execution, and revenue generation across key UK markets.
  • Will cultivate and manage strategic relationships with asset owners, project developers, local authorities, and tier-one contractors.
  • Will partner with internal technical teams and subject matter experts to shape compelling, win-ready proposals and complex bid submissions.
  • Will identify emerging commercial trends within the energy transition space to position the consultancy as a partner of choice for major decarbonisation projects.

The Person

  • Will ideally hold a degree qualification in engineering, energy management, environmental science, or a related commercial discipline.
  • Will offer a successful track record in business development or client management within an engineering, built environment, or technical consultancy setting.
  • Will possess strong commercial acumen and a sound working knowledge of clean energy initiatives, decarbonisation frameworks, or sustainable building technologies.
  • Will be an articulate communicator and skilled networker with a proactive, self-motivated approach to expanding a high-value client pipeline.
