Transport Exchange Group (TEG) is seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing commercial sales team, and help drive continued growth and success. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective members; understanding their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth through effective sales and relationship management.

Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in growing our customer base and driving revenue by connecting businesses to TEG’s suite of innovative solutions.
- Act as the first point of contact between the business and new customers, ensuring every interaction delivers value.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets in line with department goals.
- Use questioning strategies and in-depth product knowledge to recommend the best solutions for customer needs.
- Maximise revenue through effective sales propositions, upselling, and negotiation.
- Manage inbound and outbound leads in a professional, timely manner, following company processes.
- Accurately demonstrate TEG products to potential customers, highlighting key benefits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system (HubSpot preferred).
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers and industry partners.
- Collect and report customer feedback and market insights to inform product development.
- Process payments and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in sales or a customer-facing role, ideally using a recognised sales methodology (e.g. Sandler or SPIN).
- A strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
- Skilled in questioning, objection handling, and closing deals confidently.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Resilient and calm under pressure, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Driven, enthusiastic, and proactive—someone who takes ownership and gets results.

The base salary for this role is £45,000. The OTE is £75,000 - £100,000 plus.
Working Conditions
We offer on-site working in our spacious offices in London Kings Cross. Our office amenities include fresh fruits, a coffee machine, snacks, and a stocked fridge.
