TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER - ENGINEERED MATERIAL HANDLING

STAFFORDSHIRE / MIDLANDS

£55,000-£65,000 + COMPANY CAR + OTE

Get Recruited is working with an established UK manufacturer and specialist material handling systems to recruit a Technical Sales Manager.

With in-house design and manufacturing, the business creates engineered solutions around its customers' requirements. As Sales Manager, you'll work closely with technical colleagues to understand each brief, develop proposals and win business.

The company is also looking to introduce AI into its sales approach and needs a Sales Manager with practical experience using AI tools or systems within their work. You'll help identify how AI can support prospecting, customer research, sales activity and follow-up.

THE SALES MANAGER ROLE:

  • Identify and win new business across manufacturing and industrial markets.
  • Visit customer sites to understand their storage, transport and material handling challenges.
  • Grow existing accounts and reconnect with dormant customers.
  • Work closely with Design and Estimating to develop solutions and competitive quotations.
  • Follow up proposals, negotiate terms and convert enquiries into profitable orders.
  • Use AI tools to support customer research, identify opportunities and improve sales efficiency.
  • Help develop the use of AI within the company's sales process.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and build long-term customer relationships.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
