Job Description:
Netstratum is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and strengthen our presence across the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in B2B technology business, with experience managing complex sales opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through solution positioning, commercial negotiation, and closure. This role requires someone who can independently build a strong pipeline, engage senior decision-makers, develop strategic customer and partner relationships, and take ownership of revenue opportunities.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of software, SaaS, IT services, or enterprise technology solutions and be confident representing Netstratum with customers, partners, and at industry events across the UK.
Responsibilities
Business development and revenue
- Develop and execute business development plans aligned with Netstratum's growth objectives.
- Identify target accounts, market opportunities, and priority sectors, and develop strategies to penetrate them.
- Independently generate and qualify new opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, partnerships, events, and marketing-generated leads.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, commercial pitches, and executive-level discussions.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and C-level executives within prospective and existing customer organisations.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations while maintaining appropriate pricing, margins, and commercial terms.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with partners, technology providers, channel partners, and other business networks to create new revenue opportunities.
- Develop existing customer relationships to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, renewals, and additional business.

Public sector, tenders and frameworks
- Proactively identify, track, and qualify tender opportunities from public service agencies, including central government departments, local authorities, NHS trusts, emergency services, education bodies, and other public sector organisations across the UK.
- Monitor procurement portals and contract notices (Find a Tender Service, Contracts Finder, Crown Commercial Service, and the devolved and regional portals) and maintain a live pipeline of current and forthcoming opportunities.
- Identify, apply for, and maintain places on relevant public sector procurement frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems, managing applications, renewals, and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, quotations, pricing models, tenders, RFIs, RFPs, PQQs, SQs, and other commercial submissions, coordinating technical, legal, and finance inputs to meet submission deadlines.
- Develop relationships with procurement teams, prime contractors, and consortium partners to create routes to public sector revenue.

Regulatory and statutory engagement
- Manage Netstratum's engagement with regulatory bodies and industry authorities relevant to its telecom and technology operations and Artificial Intelligence engagements including registrations, notifications, and periodic returns.
- Ensure commercial submissions and customer engagements meet applicable regulatory, data protection, information security, and public procurement requirements, working with legal and compliance colleagues.
- Track changes in regulation, procurement policy, and public sector buying standards, and advise the business on the commercial implications.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years in B2B technology sales, with a strong track record in the sector
- Full-cycle sales experience: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, commercial negotiation and closure
- Proven ability to build pipeline independently and engage senior decision-makers
- Experience developing strategic customer and partner relationships
- Strong understanding of software, SaaS, IT services or enterprise technology solutions
- Confident representing Netstratum with customers, partners and at industry events across the region.
