Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving growth across STILL UK’s materials handling and intralogistics solutions portfolio. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves:

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Conduct market and customer research
  • Prepare tailored proposals
  • Deliver presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design solutions that meet client operational needs

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating contracts
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
  • Tracking performance metrics to achieve sales targets and support strategic growth

Regular communication with operations, service, and finance teams is required to ensure accurate pricing, reliable delivery, and high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, account management, and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of B2B industrial or logistics sectors, ideally in materials handling, warehouse solutions, or related equipment sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities, including market research, pipeline management, and use of CRM tools to track performance.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple customer and internal demands.
  • Comfort with collaborative work across sales, engineering, service, and finance teams to develop integrated customer solutions.
  • Experience with contract development, pricing structures, and commercial terms within a B2B environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a Business Development, Sales Manager, or Key Account Manager role is highly beneficial.
  • Valid UK work authorization and willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations as required.
