Salary: £35,000 + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance
Role Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing technology solutions business.
This is a purely new business-focused role, where you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new clients across a broad portfolio of technology services.
You’ll be selling the business as a complete technology partner, rather than focusing on a single product or service. The offering spans IT, Cyber Security, AV and Software, giving you a strong proposition to take to businesses across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential clients
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach and other business development activity
- Arrange and lead initial client meetings and discovery calls
- Understand prospective clients' challenges and position the appropriate technology solutions
- Sell across the full portfolio, including:
- Managed IT Services
- Cyber Security
- Audio Visual solutions
- Software solutions
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers, including business owners, MDs, IT Directors and senior stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to closing
- Achieve agreed revenue and new business targets
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records within the CRM
- Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover of new clients

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
