About Us

Travel Counsellors for Business offers a unique travel management proposition for the SME market, combining highly personalised, concierge-style travel management with best-in-class technology.

Our model brings together the expertise and personal service of our Corporate Travel Counsellors with the technology, buying power and support of Travel Counsellors.

As we continue to grow, we want to combine this highly personal approach with the opportunities presented by AI, automation and data, enabling our sales teams and Travel Counsellors to identify opportunities faster, engage prospects more effectively and deliver an increasingly personalised experience.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll drive profitable growth for Travel Counsellors for Business by winning new corporate clients and increasing our market share within the SME business travel sector. You’ll help build the portfolios of our Corporate Travel Counsellors, support the growth of their businesses and contribute to the continued development of our TC Teams proposition.

This is a modern, technology-enabled sales role that combines commercial judgement and outstanding relationship-building with data, AI and intelligent sales tools. You’ll use technology to identify and prioritise opportunities, personalise engagement and improve conversion, while maintaining the highly personal approach that sets Travel Counsellors apart. Your work will strengthen our brand, support sustainable growth and help create a more scalable, insight-led approach to business development.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Win high-quality, profitable SME corporate accounts that help Travel Counsellors grow and scale their businesses.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through discovery, proposal, negotiation, implementation and handover.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and translate client needs into compelling Travel Counsellors for Business solutions.
  • Develop high-quality proposals, tenders and RFP responses in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Build and manage a strong, well-qualified pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM data and delivering agreed revenue and sales targets.
  • Use approved AI, data and automation tools to improve prospecting, personalisation, productivity, pipeline management and conversion.
  • Confidently demonstrate our technology-led proposition while maintaining the personal, relationship-focused service that differentiates Travel Counsellors.
  • Collaborate across the business, support the Corporate Travel Counsellor community and represent Travel Counsellors for Business at relevant industry events.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable success in Corporate Travel BDM/Sales capacity
  • Experience utilising AI solutions in the sales lifecycle
  • Experience managing tri-party relationships
  • Comfortable presenting and demonstrating technology solutions
  • Confident managing full end-to-end sales lifecycle
