APC TRAINING - ONLINE LEARNING ACADEMY has been a leading provider of APC training since 2000, offering bespoke online courses for candidates across all pathways, including Commercial, Residential, Planning & Development, Building Surveying, and Quantity Surveying.
The academy supports professionals undertaking the traditional two-year APC, Preliminary Review, Senior Professional Route, Specialist Assessment, Academic Assessment, and AssocRICS routes. Services include practical and technical webcasts that cover a full range of RICS competencies, complemented by tailored mentor support. Candidates receive one-to-one guidance on pathway selection, competencies, ARC, diary, logbook, case study, presentation, and interview preparation, including mock interviews with specialist assessors. All training is delivered by experienced APC Assessors and Panel Chairs with extensive industry and assessment expertise.
Role Description
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding APC TRAINING - ONLINE LEARNING ACADEMY’s reach among APC candidates and partner organizations. This part-time, remote role involves identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, building relationships with universities, employers, and professional bodies, and promoting the academy’s online training and mentoring services. The individual will manage the sales pipeline, conduct outreach campaigns, and follow up on leads through calls, emails, and online meetings. They will collaborate with the leadership and training teams to refine value propositions, develop marketing materials, and align offerings to candidate and client needs. The role also includes monitoring market trends, reporting on performance metrics, and recommending initiatives to improve enrollment and client retention.

Specifically, we are working on a new project to provide ‘white label’ in-house training programs where clients can use our existing learning material for their own graduates via a licence per candidate agreement.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, lead generation, and relationship management skills, with experience building and maintaining partnerships.
- Sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to present services effectively and close agreements with organizational and individual clients.
- Marketing and digital outreach capabilities, such as using social media, email campaigns, and online events to attract and engage prospects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex training pathways clearly to diverse audiences.
- Organizational and planning skills, including managing a pipeline, tracking metrics, and working independently in a remote, part-time setting.
- Experience in professional education, training, RICS pathways, or the surveying and property sectors is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with online collaboration tools, CRM systems, and virtual meeting platforms.
