About MEJI

At MEJI, we're on a mission to make West African food a staple in every household. We believe authentic West African flavours deserve the same convenience and accessibility as any other cuisine. That's why we created our flagship 90-second Jollof Rice – bringing a much-loved dish to busy people in a convenient, affordable format. Since launching, MEJI has secured listings in over 400 Sainsbury's stores and continues to grow across retail, wholesale and e-commerce. But we're only just getting started. We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help accelerate the next phase of our journey by opening new doors, building strategic partnerships and driving commercial growth.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious challenger brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Working directly with the Founder, you'll play a key role in expanding MEJI's presence across grocery retail, wholesale, foodservice and strategic partnerships. You'll identify new opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers, negotiate commercial agreements and help shape our commercial strategy. If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
