With clear, competitive pricing starting from £9/month, Quantech makes essential heating maintenance more predictable and accessible. Based in South Wales, the business is committed to dependable service, preventative maintenance, transparent costs, and year-round peace of mind for customers.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Swansea, with flexibility for some work from home. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities for servicing and maintenance plans, building and maintaining relationships with homeowners, partners, and local stakeholders, and growing Quantech’s customer base across South Wales.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting and lead generation
  • Conducting consultations to understand customer needs
  • Preparing proposals
  • Managing the sales pipeline through to contract agreement

The role also involves:

  • Tracking market trends
  • Contributing to pricing and service bundles
  • Coordinating with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers
  • Maintaining accurate records in CRM and reporting tools

The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with the leadership team to:

  • Set growth targets
  • Support marketing initiatives
  • Attend local events or trade shows
  • Represent Quantech as a trusted, knowledgeable heating services provider

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within home services, heating, renewable energy, or a related sector.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing new business, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric approach and professional telephone and in-person manner.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical service offerings for heat pumps, gas boilers, and hybrid heating systems in clear, accessible language.
  • Competence in using CRM systems, basic data analysis, and standard office software to manage accounts and produce reports.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with field engineers and office-based colleagues.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid pattern between the Swansea office, customer sites across South Wales, and home-based work as agreed.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region for meetings, site visits, and local events.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in business, sales, or a technical field is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the UK
