Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
Location: London or Cardiff
Hybrid: 2 to 3 days/week in office
This role requires regular travel to meet clients in person.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is the essential partner in the assessment of risk. Within our Business Services vertical, we offer a multitude of solutions focused on helping businesses of all sizes drive higher revenue growth, maximize operational efficiencies, and improve customer experience. Our solutions help customers solve complex problems in the areas of Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing, Identity Authentication & Verification, Fraud and Credit Risk Mitigation, and Customer Data Management.
About the Team
The Strategic Partnerships & Alliances team is responsible for growing revenue through a network of strategic partners, consultancies, software integrators, resellers and technology providers. The team works collaboratively across the business to develop new routes to market, strengthen partner relationships and create new business opportunities.
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships & Alliances team.
This role will focus on identifying, developing and onboarding new strategic partners that support business growth across our portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with prospective partners, generating new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of our partner ecosystem.
Whilst the primary focus is new business acquisition, the role may also include responsibility for managing and growing selected strategic partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new partnership opportunities that support business growth objectives.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners and associated business opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across partner organisations.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to onboard and enable new partners.
- Support partner-led revenue growth through joint business development activities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and activity reporting.
- Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities and partner engagements.

Requirements
- Experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Alliances, Channel Sales or a related field.
- Proven ability to generate and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially focused with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working across complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive and results driven.
- Experience within SaaS, Data, Analytics, Identity, Fraud, Compliance or Risk Solutions would be advantageous.
